I’ve rented a few places before and lemme tell ya, it’s not just about how the place looks. Make sure you really check out the area during the day and night. I had a buddy who moved into a nice looking apartment during the day but didn’t realize how sketchy it got at night. Also, hear from the current tenants if you can. They’ll give you the real scoop on things like maintenance issues or noise levels, stuff the landlord might not mention.
