In my understanding, a travel consent form is sort of a permission letter but in a more official format. It’s crucial when one parent or guardian isn’t traveling with their child. It shows that this isn’t a case of abduction, which sadly is a real risk nowadays. It’s not just about permission but also about ensuring the safety and welfare of the child. I’ve read blogs where parents traveled without one and faced delays or couldn’t travel at all. It can be a serious barrier.
